  1. City centre is rather dodgy. However, I have looked up some in the classfied ads of El Tiempo newspaper

I know some one who is renting a flat in the north, almost 40 minutes by bus. COP $ 650,000 / month + Administration.

    CENTRO $200.000, una alcoba salacomedor Calle 20 No. 12-59 verse de 2 p.m. a 5 p.m

CENTRO, $280.000. Amplio, una alcoba, salacomedor. Calle 15 No. 10-39.

CENTRO, varios amoblados, semanas, quincenas, meses. Extranjeros, ejecutivos. 3103388632.

Excange rate, roughly 1950 pesos to the dollar.

  2. I would suggest that you go to www.poorbuthappy.com and look in the Colombia section. Even if you dont see what you want there, if you will post, I am sure you will get a response. I am guessing that you will be able to find something in the Bochica bld. Which is right next door to the Tequendama. Hard to get any more downtown than that. Be sure and find a private party that will rent DIRECT. Many apartments are ONLY available throught an Immobiliaria. This will require that you have the "cedula de extrangeria" (Which takes about 2 days to get, since you have to get a visa first)

  3. i would go to www.google.com then type in house for rent in...................... then you fill it out and your good.

  4. I always try www.craigslist.com where you can find lots of apartments, flats, houses for rent and useful info on expats.
