Does anyone have an idea how much a taxi would cost from the airport to Parnell Street area in Dublin?

I am travelling to Dublin, and will be arriving at night, so think it's best getting a taxi to my hotel (Jury's inn on Parnell Street), it says the distance between the 2 is approx 5 miles. Any idea what taxi drivers in Dublin would probably charge for a journey like that

Thanks.

  1. DO NOT get a taxi into Parnell St from the airport, take the bus..believe me..they will rip you off, it will be nowhere near 35 euros, 50 euro minimum. Do not take a cab, either have someone collect you or take a bus. Bus will take you about 30 mins - perhaps shortly longer. Also contact the hotel to see if they have a free shuttle service - prob not but worth a try.

  2. Take the blue Aircoach bus to the city centre. It will drop u right next to Parnell Street. Don't bother paying for a taxi.

  3. for Gods sake don't get a taxi they are a rip off get one of the buses that the others are talking about

  4. They charge a flat start fee (I think it's something like, 3 euro), plus an extra euro for each extra passanger and a luggage charge of a euro. You are expected to tip one euro per bag. On top of the travel fare.

We just a taxi to get from the airport to our hotle (Bewleys Airport Hotle) which, like the name says, is close to the airport....it cost us 17 euro. And he was really pissy towards us.

Take the bus if you can, I'm sure some run at night. When you arrive at the airport there are a bunch of bus lines you can take. Call your hotel and ask about the shuttle...we had one and didn't know it.

  5. About €25 id get the bus instead youd save sooo much the taxis are a real rip off in the city you can find out details at the airport of the buses that will bring you into the centre, hope this helps! hope you have a great stay  :)

  6. About 35 euros during the day, not sure at night, but 35 is the daytime average so you can see if you are going to be ripped off....there are buses as well, but not sure when they stop...have never arrived at night, too busy getting drunk.

  7. Hi, It would be around 35 euros to get a taxi, if you arrive and the shuttle bus is running it is only 7 euros each on the bus, you can get a ticket from the ticket machines at the airport, they are situated near the bus stops. Have a great time Dublin is fantastic.  Oh! when you are going back to the airport one of the bus stops is just outside the bus information centre on O'Connell St, it's just past the post office nr. Flanagan's restaurant.

  8. 35 euro? 50 euro min? bollox, it cost about 25 euro, i know cos thats what it cost me last time i was home.

U d be better off gettin any of the 16 buses outside the aiport, will drop you off on o connell street beside parnell square for 1.60 euro, or other wise get the aircoach which is 6 euro and leaves ya in a copule of places in city centre such as trinity college,

  9. Airport to Parnel street you should be looking around €20. Tell the Taxi driver to take the Drumcondra road in and you wont get any roundabout detour. I wouldnt imagine you would anyway though. All the prices are written insife the cab so you can work it out yourself anyway on the way in to make sure you dont get ripped off, But it has never happened to me and i doubt it will happen to you.
