Does anyone have an idea why my index finger , and middle finger turn numb?

its been happening lately the tops of my index finger and middle fingers numb, and then after 10 minutes get unnumb, its really freaking me out, do you know why this is happening?

Carpal tunnel syndrome.

It is quite often worse at night or when your are relaxed. It is caused by pressure on the median nerve where it passes across your wrist. It is more common in middle aged women or the pregnant. It can rectify itself or be treated with and inflammatory cream or in very bad cases simple surgery to release the pressure.
