  1. Internally, you can drink hamamelis tea [witch hazel tea]  or 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water each morning.

Externally, you can use apple cider vinegar, papaya rinds, hamamelis cream [witch hazel], hot and cold baths twice a week [5 minutes hot then 10 seconds cold.

You can also go to your local qualified naturopath for an herbal remedy.

  2. Increase your fiber. Take it in tablets if necessary.

  3. The old fashioned remedy that my ancestors passed down was to use witch hazel directly on the affected area.  Also, they were big into a lot of fruit and fiber to make the stool softer and less painful.  Please see a doctor if your condition gets worse, though.

  4. Is about 1000 years old natural remedy old enough? Rue Care Oil is based on ancient recipe. It helped also in cases where prep h failed to deliver results.

  5. The killer sugar sucrose can cause hemorrhoids so reducing your intake of table sugar, white sugar or refined sugar might perhaps help.  Sweet foods loaded with sucrose include desserts, cakes, cookies, biscuits, chocolate, ice cream and many others.  See item 32 in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm .

  6. I've read that drinking water mixed with a teaspoon of cayenne pepper and equal parts nutmeg and flour can work wonders for hemorrhoids.

  7. I think I've got exactly what you're after. It's not my own remedy, but it works. It's at http://hemorrhoids.guidereviewed.com

It's natural and less embarassing than a cream.
