Does anyone have any Ideas for saving money on dining out in Metro Atlanta or Nationwide chains?

I'm always on the go, between my full-time job, college 4 nights a week, and I'm very involved with my church's youth group. I eat out atleast twice, if not three times per day. The cost of my food is becoming a burden.

Does anyone know about any guest surveys that come along with a coupon, a certain buy one get one deal, printable coupons, a certain promotional day (99 cents Tuesday) or any other ideas for saving on eating out?

Bringing my lunch isn't always an option.

  1. See if the restruant offer frequent diners cards, look for coupons in the paper, check with school on fund raisers ( i bought a card full of coupons from the football team at a local hs).  There are also books you can buy with coupons, I have done this before and saved at least 3 to 4x the cost of the book

  2. Many schools and church youth groups sell coupon books that are full of 2 for 1 meals.  Eat one then and take the 2nd home for dinner or the next days lunch.

Another fundraiser that organizations are selling are credit card sized discount cards.  These have a number of sponsors that give an indefinite number of discounts on foods or services, some are 2nd meal free.

Many food chains have a standard discount that they will offer for community service.

If your community does not have a existing program, you should consider starting one.  With your community involvement it would make sense for you to approach the management of the restaurants that you like to frequent.  Who knows you might get some free samples along the way.

You can also do web searches for specific restaurants that may be offering a special.  Jack in the box gave away 2 tacos for any fuel receipt on June 26th.  We all should keep an eye out for those.

  3. Check your local newspaper

Check your mail to see if there's any coupons offering. Coupons for food, such as fast food and restaurants at half price can be found.

Check with your phone book, or yellow pages to see if there's any coupons. Sometimes there are coupons.

Dining out can be costly and expensive. Limit yourself to at least two times per week, not three times a day. I'd recommend that you try to cook for yourself or get something at the grocery store. Stock up your groceries in bulk. You can save money and have more food.

Check with the deli section of the grocery store. Usually there are pre-made sushi, sandwiches, etc. that you can grab and go.
