  1. I found a work at home job through a staffing agency.  My town has LOTS of hiring agencies.  I went and put in my resume to all of them and interviewed as much as possible.  I let the recruiters know that I was looking for a position that was part time on the weekends or had a work from home opportunity.  I got lucky after about 2 months and landed a job doing business to business appointment setting from home.  I'm paid on commission.  I work about 20 hours a week, and average about 13-18 an hour, depending on how I've done that week.  When I put in 32 hours or more (which I did for a few short weeks), my hourly average was higher.  But I started working from home while pregnant, so after having the baby, I went back to part time hours.

Also, I sell my old stuff on e-bay quite a bit.  This has brought in extra income here or there.  If you make jewelry, t-shirts, embroidery, etc, you can also sell it on there.  I have a friend who does nothing but sells baby and children's clothing on there that she buys from garage sales and thrift stores.  She makes about $800/mo to add to her house income.
