Does anyone have any advice on consolidating PRIVATE student loans? I'm having bad luck and need some advice!

Just to clarify, I have already taken out the private student loans and am looking to consolidate them. I'm not looking for a way to fund my education as I have already completed school. Thanks for the website. It is comforting to know that I'm not the only one in this situation!! My payments right now (before consolidation) are about $600 dollars a month. Which is completely unmanagable. Any further advice on places to try for private loan consolidation would be great! Thanks!

  2. Hi

I saw your question I have decided to help people out due to the fact that I myself has been scammed twice by fake lenders in my search for a loan but at last I got a reliable lender that gave me the loan($60,000 USD) that I was in dire need of even with a bad credit. Hence I decided that I will refer anybody I come across to this God sent lender he is reliable and his terms are fair. You can get to him via his email address charles_lenders@yahoo.com Please tell him that Deborah Kirk he gave out a loan to me . I have search for a legit lender until I got him and I decided to help my fellow humans with this because there are a lot of fake lenders out there and I do not want any body to fall a prey please get to him and tell him that I referred you to him.

    Thanks.

  3. I was able to consolidate both of my student loans through Direct Loans. One of mine was private, and one was through SallieMae. You could give them a try. I wish you luck. I know exactly what you are going through. I don't know your entire situation, but I currently only make $9/hour, and they were expecting me to pay $200 a month to the private loan, and I don't even remember how much to SallieMae. I didn't finish school for reasons beyond my control at that time. I AM trying to go back, but they wouldn't release my transcripts until I had them paid off. So that is why I tried to consolidation. Because I would then no longer owe the school. It truly does feel like an uphill battle, but you just have to hang in there. Good luck!
