Does anyone have any astrology statistics?

Like, articles or mass studies done that revealed some sort of pattern? I read in a question tonight a study by car insurance companies on astrology. Here's the site.

Does anyone have any other statistical studies or articles? Or just know anything like this offhand? Thanks!

  1. I had to laugh about the comment about meteorology. Everybody knows that weather forecasting is not an exact science but it's accuracy increases vastly in the short term. There has been battles won and lost based on meteorology. Hurricane forcasting and Doppler radar warnings save lives.

If only astrology can show real accuracy any situation.

  2. you are supposed to collect as much as resource as you can by searching the relevant keyword in search engine,if you have good luck there, then your problem solved.however,if you could not find the fitful answer by doing that, here is the resource i prefered.http://car-insurance.bestips.info/car-in...

  3. The Rosicrucian Order has a great deal of publications involving astrological studies and surveys. They used to be one of the foremost in publishing astrology books and ephemeris when I first got interested in the subject. I think you could probably contact them through their website:

    To Chainlighting:

Look in the sources of that article you linked, and you find that roughly 80% are persons or organizations who are anti-astrology. I am skeptical of that from the get-go. How do we know whether they chose only a certain sample of their complete evidence collected so that they could make their point? How do we know that they did not reject or modify some of the data or otherwise manipulate it? Sometimes such manipulations are not even intentional, but they tend to happen when there are biases on the part of the researcher. I think this happens with both the pro-astrology and the anti-astrology people. I think it definitely happened in this time twin study you are promoting.

Another fault that I see with that study is the testing approach. Any of the persons that I used in my own personal studies would have led to different results. Since I know ahead of time that you are going to say, "Put your evidence out there and make a million dollars and win a Nobel Prize" (you have said that over 100 times on this forum) I will go ahead and say that I am planning to publish a book when I retire from my day job. I'm not counting on a million dollars or a Nobel Prize. Haven't even achieved either with my day job.

I find it interesting that you never discuss failures which have happened in the science world, yet you always want to talk about how astrology is not scientific. Two anti-astrology scientists once made an ephemeris of a comet which disappeared and has never returned. It was a big thing back then, and millions of copies of the ephemeris were sold. When the comet failed to follow the projected ephemeris over that year, and just disappeared unexpectedly, millions of people were out their money for the book. But so what. It has been hushed up and swept under the carpet. Why?

Also, I want to ask what you think about weather forecasters. I find that they are often inaccurate in my state, but they still pick up a paycheck and are considered scientific. How can they be so wrong in their forecasts if it is based on scientific principles? Do you think meteorology is bunk? Do you give leeway to meteorologists where you don't to astrologers?

  5. Google Sakoian and Aker, not sure if I spelled that right. And Yahoo is s******g up royally tonight.  But just google their names; they did many research studies, like athletes, musicians, etc.

iao, I agree with you and highly recommend them. I first studied with them in the late 70's.  I love their spiritual approach, and the fact that they genuinely care about their students, and are not in it to make money, but to further knowledge and understanding..

And to kurious -  not to be a twit - but as far as Doppler and all that other fancy meterological high tech garbage - a grandmother with arthritis and rheutisim is a far more accurate prediction of any storm, as is animal behavior.  As for me, I can "smell and feel one coming," days before it hits.

  6. There has been some research done on "time twins" see page 13 of this link.

Edit: Second link is 91 other tests. A lot to read.
