  1. http://www.epa.gov/

But they don't do so much these days - Baby Bush and his cronies stacked the building with fundie neocons.

  2. The other posts told what the EPA is now you need to contact the Indian or the Karnātaka equivalent government agency.  They would know where to get the information you are looking for.

  3. The EPA is the environmental protection agency. Most countries have a environmental protection agency. In Australia the EPA is now call DECC department of environmental change and conservation.

The EPA is responsible for managing fines, notices, permits etc.

Generally when a site is contaminated the previous owner has a responsiblity to rehabilitate the site to it's previous conditions or cover the costs of rehabilitation. I'm not sure on the exact details of electronic waste management.

Contaminated land must be registered on the contaminated land register. (CLR) is a register of proven contaminated land (‘risk’ sites) that is causing or may cause serious environmental harm. Maybe you can ask if the land you are going to purchase has been listed on the register.

check out Managing Land Contamination Planning Guidelines:

I know it's for NSW but most evironmental protection groups will have similar standards.

  4. hi, even i am not from USA (middle east/Syria ) , but as an environmental engineer and was very related to EPA regulations, i believe you should think of a water treatment plant installation , of course it's related very much to your production capacity size and type.

go to EPA website and look for industrial waste water standards , you will find it very easily there.

you also know that electronic industries are not a big polluters so don't worry about this issue very much.

you will find the limits of parameters you should discharge to the waste water system in the region ,

you also look about the industrial area system , in some cases this cities are operating a waste water treatment plants and in this case you don't need to install a WWTP in you facility.

you should also think about the equipments you pay , try to think about the environmental impact of the technology used .

i hope my information is suitable for your Q.
