Does anyone have any experience with English Spot Rabbits?

I want to get an English Spot, but before I do I just want a little more information about that breed. If anyone has had any experience with them, please share! I have already done research about this breed but i still want to hear 'first-hand' experiences. I would like to know if they are good with other pets... like dogs. Any helpful info works!

Thanks!

  1. you may introduce the dog and the rabbit to each other.there are some experiments done by breeder of rabbits and they said that rabbits and dogs may get along fine without fighting or the dog killing the rabbit.but of course, this is only an experiment so it really depends on the carefulness of the owner when introducing the two animals with each other.some dogs really don't get along well on other rabbits no matter how you do the introducing part to them.

    to introduce the two animals:

leave the rabbit on its cage.get the dog and place it near the cage of the rabbit.you must hold the dog on the collar(if you have one on its neck) so that if ever the introduction doesn't work, you could control the dog.let them actually "feel" each other.do this for 10 minutes for a whole week.if they actually get along well, they will calm down when they see each other.

    i hope i helped!

p.s:usually hunter dogs never get along well with rabbits so make sure your dog is not a hunter dog unless you want your rabbit dead.

  2. rabbits and dogs do not always get along well no matter what kind of rabbit..in the wild rabbits are hunted by dogs and foxes and so on..it more depends on the dog then the rabbit...on the whole english spots are a more hyper breed but great fun for walking around on a leash....not so much a lap rabbit though.

  3. Try talking to this breeder: http://www.freewebs.com/webcnspotsrabbit...

She shows in my state and has some very nice rabbits. She is a breeder, but treats her rabbits like pets. I am sure she would be happy to answer questions.

  4. There's great rabbit care here http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/r... and http://www.rabbit.org/

Please adopt and save a life, don't buy from a breeder or pet store.

Rabbit care is generally the same for all breeds. Every rabbit is different in terms of personality.
