  2. actually the only Memory I have is him winning that race at darlington in the Busch series in 98 or 99 I think it was. that was cool to see.

and remember him being one of the cars to beat at Bristol on the NASCAR 99 video game.

  3. He use to have a little custom made "SCOOTER" that looked like a bar stool and would ride it around the garage areas and to and from the hauler and motorhome,it was a site to see him sitting on the scooter smoking and crusing thru the garage.

Also seeing him light up a cigarette when the caution come out.

  9. d**k was famous for having a cigarette lighter in his racecars, and having his full-face helmet drilled so that a cigarette would fit in front of his mouth thru the helmet allowing him to smoke during caution laps.  I guess if there's a will, there's a way!

d**k Trickle (born October 27, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin) is an auto racer. He raced for decades around the short tracks of Wisconsin, winning many championships along the way. Trickle has competed in the ASA, ARTGO, ARCA, All Pro, IMCA, NASCAR, USAC, and USAR Hooters Pro Cup. In more than an estimated 2,200 races, Trickle has logged one million laps and legend has it that he has won over 1,200 features, although no one has been able to verify this win total. Trickle's career highlights include racing to 67 wins in 1972, winning seven ARTGO Championships in nine years between 1979 to 1987, winning back to back ASA AC-Delco Challenge championships in 1984 and 1985, the 1968 USAC Stock Car rookie of the year, and winning the 1989 NASCAR Rookie of the Year award in what was then called the Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup).

THANK YOU CAM...I WAS HOPING SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED.

  11. John Andretti Rules haha

  12. His Busch Series win in 98

  13. I saw him in a touring late model race at Rockford Speedway many years ago.  They lined the cars up for the feature and then proceeded to introduce each driver who then walked to his car as he waved to the fans.  d**k was so intent on waving to the fans that he walked right on by his car and had to VERY sheepishly backtrack to both thunderous applause and laughter from the crowd.  I have absolutely no idea how he faired that day as I was only six or seven at the time, but I'll always remember that little gaffe of his...........

  14. No, can't say I do. I doubt I'll forget his name anytime soon, though.

  15. Yeah he is a better driver than Dale Jr. will ever be...
