Does anyone have any golf tips for ball contact with an iron?

Question

I tend to release the club too early to avoid topping the ball, can anyone suggest a good tip to enable a clean strike trapping the ball between clubhead and turf, I am aware of weight shift and hands ahead of the ball but the problem persists.

Swing hard........ just in case the ball gets in the way of the clubface .                                                                                                                       Seriously the hybrids are the way to go , I do not own any yet , butttttt   my buddy gets tired of me beating him with his own clubs  andddd  they are knock offs  I COULD NOT TELL YOU THE NAME BRAND .

don't always use a full swing. sometimes you may want to try to use 1 club higher and swing with a 75% swing to maintain control over the ball and that way you won't worry about reaching the green.
