  1. You can get a policy called a Named Non Owner policy which I know progressive offers. However this is just for liability.

This would not cover the vehicle for physical damage. You would need to get the coverage from the rental company to cover physical damage on the rented vehicle.

I recommend obtaining the coverage from the rental company anyways, becuase if you have a wreck with the rental you could incur hidden charges like loss of income to the rental company while the vehicle is not rentable, decrease in the vehicles market value and towing and storage of the rented vehicle.

    I hope thsi helps

  2. Yes, you can get a non owner insurance policy. It will provide liability insurance coverage for any vehicle that you drive.  Just call your insurance company to get a few quotes to see how much it will cost.  You might want to check with multiple companies.

  3. There are a few good free on-line services that will provide you with multiple quotes.

It depend on several factors such as: age, location, prexisting medical conditions, type of coverages, etc.

The only way to know for sure is to get quotes.

Some of the more popular on-line quoting services are:

    good luck
