cucumber sandwiches, deviled eggs, scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserves, and if you're willing to buy it good shortbread.

I would serve the following sandwiches

Cucumber

egg salad

smoked salmon

along with scones w Devonshire cream and jam or marmalade

lemon pound cake or sally lunn bread with fresh berries marinated in a little red wine

Scones are a very popular snack to eat with tea.  It is an England tradition.  I believe they also eat biscuits with butter and jam with their tea.
