I am about to start as an english teacher in Thailand, I have taught before and did the basic TEFL course, but it has been about ten years since I last taught. I will be teaching patom 1 - 6 (5 - 12 year olds) and would like suggestions for lesson plans, songs and games?

  1. I am wanting to go to Thailand next year and teach english as well. Did you really enjoy it? What TELF course did you do?

  2. I taught English in Thailand for five years as a volunteer and found i got the best results from role playing or any interactive type lessons that got the kids out their seats. Thai kids hate writing and having to memorise stuff. You will find that the Thai teachers' will tend to leave you to it because you are the native speaker and they can't speak English better then you. i really enjoyed my time at the school, the Thai teachers' will really look after you. The school even let me stay in a house at the school for 6 months. You will be very nervous at first but you will love it. All the best to you.

  3. I often use resources from this website: http://maryglasgowmagazines.com/teachers

All the resources on there are especially for children and teenagers. They have a great search page where you can find resources on pretty much anything!

    Good luck with the job!

  4. This is a great site to check to have all what you need! :)
