Does anyone have any great ideas to lose weight?

Here's my story...I have gained 40 pounds in year due to being in a very stressful situation that involved me having temporary custody of my niece....I could not get out and exercise, got depressed, and ATE. I have a huge appetite, and would like some help with sensible ways to lose this weight. Any ideas on snacks to fill me up, easy meal ideas, or something that you did that made the total difference. My goal is Sept. 1 to begin a "new me" program. Thanks!!

  1. Drink TONS of water. Also after you've finished eating a meal, brush your teeth. It makes you feel like you're 'done' eating and the urge to eat more will do away


  2. Do not eat after 7 or 7:30. You will not burn anymore calories after that hour. Get plenty of sleep, it promotes no weight gain, and helps supply energy for working out. Chew gum or drink water when you start to feel hungry, but you already have your day planned out. Count calories to remember what you should eat next meal. Do not starve yourself. Walk after dinner, in the morning before breakfast, and in the afternoon about .75-1 mile so it will be about 2.25-3 miles a day. Aim for 1,650 calories that are healthy, and lower sugar intake and stay away from junky foods. Salad, whole wheat, and skim milk are your friends. Good luck!
