Does anyone have any homework tips that I can use for this school year?

I had alot of homework last year and I barely had time do you guys have any ideas that are more time consuming?

Staying organized really helps me because I don't spend as much time looking for the things I need.  I have a notebook and folder for each class, and try to keep all the things for a class together.  Homework also depends upon the class and the teacher.  So it may turn out that you don't have as much homework this year.

Have a homework binder with dividers for each class. This binder is ONLY for homework. Other notes and papers go in your class binder. You should create a homework routine, and make sure you have time for each assignment BEFORE you set aside time for other activities. Plan everything out, and then get to it...hope this helps!

Get organized with a daily planner and write down your assignments for each class. Have a set time each day to do your homework and study. You also need to schedule time for relaxation. Follow this plan and you will be surprised at how much more relaxed you will be.

- Get a planner and use it. Write down the homework as soon as the teacher gives it to you.

- Set aside a specific time for homework. When you sit down at that time, make a priority list and work through it steadily. Don't answer the phone or watch TV, just do the work.

- Do some work every day. It's a lot easier to do some every day than to try and do it all at once just before it's due. You'll get better marks if you spread an assignment out, too, because the time away from it allows you to think about the work and improve your ideas/comprehension.

- Get help if you need it. Ask your teacher for clarification. Talk to a friend or family member about an assignment- even if you understand, it's interesting to hear their perspectives. If you can't understand the material, get a tutor as soon as you realize you are having problems.
