Speaking freely: Is there any advantage of having it? Facilitating work, movement for someone living there?

For many Middle eastern countries a foreigner has much respect and power than the original citizen. Is it the case here?

  1. Tunisian nationality is granted either on the grounds of affiliation or on the grounds of being born in Tunisia. Nationality is acquired either by law or through naturalization in accordance with the procedures established by law, without any discrimination.

    Paragraph D, Section 36

Tunisian nationality is usual acquired through marriage if not done so by birth.

There is not any difference between having Tunisian nationality and not having it here in Tunisia. For work purposes, the main thing must be that you are able to read, write, and speak in Arabic and French. Arabic because it is the official national language, and French because it is the official language of commerce here. If you do not speak French, I advise you to learn it before attempting to get a job, as 99.9% of places will not hire you unless you can fluently read, write, and speak it.

Tunisia is a melting pot of different cultures and society's and none are valued more than the other. Whether you are Tunisian or not, all people have the same rights afforded to them and are protected equally under the law.
