  1. Pick a theme and make take lots of pictures! My daughter's 1st birthday was in July and we had a bunch of huge Minnie Mouse balloons and her cake was minnie mouse and we even had plates and a banner that said happy 1st birthday on it! We had a big pool party for her, but since your sons is in October the idea of a pool party is kinda flushed so try and thinik of something fun to do indoorsm like an automn theme or something :) have fun!

  2. You could go with airplanes, cars, trucks, boats, is there any particular thing hes really into?  with my youngest niece its a talking elmo that she loves.  So we did her party in elmo.  check out the oriantal trade website.  They have the best party decorations and stuff.  heres the link.

  3. What to onoon characters does your son enjoy.  I know he doesn't have a favorite or anything yet, but just pick a character.  I did my sons first b-day in spider-man.  My brother did his sons first birthday in dogs, it was cute. For my daughter we did Tinker-bell.  Like I said, just pick a character and go for it.

  4. find a Little Gym or something like that near you and throw a party there. they have alot of baby and toddler stuff there and its a blast. or throw a costume party rent a ball pit or bouncer and have a bbq.

  5. Well in Hawaii, we celebrate first birthday really big.

    It's called BABY'S BIRTHDAY LUAU.

I just had my baby's first birthday party.

    She had 200 guests.

    Here's what I had.

I had appetizers for the first hour, then ofcourse Hawaiian food for dinner.

    For entertainment.

We had a clown, face painter and balloon maker for two hours. Kids really enjoyed it. They had lots of fun.

We had a DJ for music.

Then, the hall was decorated with her theme.... Pink and Lavender Colors and lots of balloons. She had cute centerpieces on every table and also favors.

In Hawaii, there's always liquors serve for parties, I know you guys might think that drunkin adults... NO it's not like that.

We had cotton candies and Shave Ice (Snow Cones) which was a hit for kids and adults due to the weather in Hawaii (HOT).

We had games for the kids. Lots of it.

I spent about $4,000, but got it all back from monentary gifts plus presents. LOTS OF PRESENTS FOR HER.

I know, people might judge us, but in Hawaii.... it's actually pretty good. It's a typical 1st birthday celebration.

HER THEME BY THE WAY: PINK PIGGIES! she was born YEAR OF THE PIG.
