  1. winnie the pooh is nice for a boy and there's lots you can buy for decorations

  2. I got furniture as handmedowns from family and friends. Sheet sets came at my shower. And I got a whole bolt of pink material and a rug for free from a church store, and I made cushions for the rocking chair and curtains myself. I also went to the craft store and bought the wooden letters to spell out her name, they have all sorts of letters and entire words cut out. I got ones like believe, dream, beautiful etc and painted them how I wanted them, glued ribbons to the back and hung them from thumbtacks. They have sports ones, as well as exotic animals too, and it's fun to paint them how you want them, lol. Or they can be purchased already painted for slightly more. I don't recommend wallpaper either, just use the decorations either. My brat is 20 months old and has started stripping the wallpaper in our living room, I know she'd do the same if she had some in her bedroom. You don't need a lot of space, basically somewhere to keep clothes that can't hang(I got a "dresser" at family dollar for 14, it has cloth drawers, but it works for her small stuff. I used a bookcase for all the diapers and whatnot while she was little, now her books and some bigger toys sit on it. And a place for baby to sleep, and a place to sit while you feed or whatnot. I got an old wooden rocking chair from my aunt. Good luck!

  3. I had the same problem. I got a border wallpaper that I put on top of the room. I them found wall stickers that you can take on and off. I bought a crib that had a changing table and some drawers on it.

  4. I started out wanting wallpaper for my girls, but when I saw how out of kilter the corners were in the bedroom, I was afraid that I would run into more than my wallpaper hanging abilities could handle.  Plus, an entire room of wallpaper was going to be pretty expensive.

I found some wall decals for kids that are so cute and very affordable.

Here are some that I found that would work for a boy and some for either a boy or a girl:

    Spiderman

Circus (scroll down past the bedding pic)

Here's my favorite!  The Jungle walls are so cute!

  5. Are you allowed to nail and or s***w things to the walls?

If you are, I suggest getting a few small individual shelves in white for accent pieces like little stuffed toys or blocks, pictures in nice baby-themed frames, even books that go along with a theme you may have chosen.

If you haven't chosen a theme, that might actually work better because once you say "My theme is..." everybody in the world will buy you items and you won't have room for them!

Those will at least add some decor to the walls without you having to wallpaper them. That stuff's a pain!

You could also buy large posters from someplace like Michaels or CostCo and put those up. Even Walmart may have something you'd like. A baby blanket or quilt you're not planning to actually use could work like that as well. Maybe something someone is making him.

Is he your first? If not and you want to involve the other children in the decoration (to a degree!), buy one of those poster frames from Walmart - the ones with the snap off sides - and a piece of white cardboard large enough to fit the frame - and have your kids put their footprints and handprints on them in the colors you will have in the room. Or do that as your baby is growing up and write the date under each set. It's decoration for the wall and also a memory!

  6. I like the sailboat/lighthouse theme, you could get an old anchor, a fake life preserver, a lighthouse lamp, and ship's bell, and ocean blue sheets, you could do beach chairs in there, and sea shells, it's limitless!

  7. well you can get the big wall stickers, they sell them at alot of dollar stores and toys-r-us, they don't cost much and they pull off really east, and also stuffed animals make nice decorations too!! congrats on your pregnancy and I hope I could help a bit!
