  1. Movie nights, sing alongs, dancing, crafting, knitting/crocheting, cards, bingo, chess, pictionary, picnic at a nearby park, invite children or whoever to visit with them, tea party, etc.

  2. nintendo wii bowling

  3. Bingo, ballroom dancing, line dancing, cha-cha, canasta, rummy, poker, guessing games, jigsaw puzzle tournaments,

pet visitation, name that tune, arts & crafts, container gardening, making scrapbooks, to name a few.

  4. Just a few weeks ago I watched a news clip of people at a nursing home who were playing games on the Nintendo Wii. They really seemed to enjoy it because even though it was hard for them to understand the concept.. they were enjoying themselves because they were up and moving.

But if you do not have access to a Nintendo Wii.. I personally would ask them what they would be interested in doing. Because most often they can not do things that they rather do. Ask them what games they like to play and be sure to make the day about them.. it really makes them happy and makes them feel that people actually care enough to come and visit with them!
