Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do for an Indiana Jones themed classroom?

I teach 6th grade social studies and I need a new theme for the upcoming school year.

  1. Lots of archeology items, it will pique their interest and make them ask questions. i would let them decorate it that way you know they want to see it and you can make them do the research on it

Maps, pictures of exotic looking relics, and you could even set up a station for students to discover (if they finish their work) where they might play the role of Indiana Jones and solve mysteries. This would be an excellent way to integrate curriculum. You could have students write stories about being a sidekick (L.A.) Have students compare and contrast maps today and maps from 50 years ago ( geography) and even have word problems about ole' Indy (mathematics/logics) I'm jealous! I WANT an Indiana Jones themed room!

  3. old style looking maps on the wall..maybe a some "jungle" foliage...and of course wear a fedora!
