Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find wooden wine crates for free?

I am looking for quite a few wooden wine crates, the large ones that hold 12 bottles of wine, for a DIY book case project. I have far too many books to be able to buy enough shelving for them and I have already found that these crates are also perfect for DVDs.

  1. You could also ask at restaurants and bars if they have any, too.


  2. I have gotten a few from Sam's Club liquor store for a buck each  (almost free).

  3. Go to Costco in the evening

    on the weekend right before closing-they will have a bunch. Ask if you don't see any.
