Does anyone have any ideas to start a WAHM club?

I want to start a membership club for Work At Home Moms (WAHM) to Meet and Introduce their businesses to each other. Does anyone have ideas on how to go about doing this? I have no clue on how to start advertising and the whole building a website, plz any ideas will help.

Hi There. Yahoo Groups has a lot of resources for Work at Home Moms as well as Moms that are entrepeneurs and more. Chatting in those groups will help you meet people and find out from your target market what their needs are.

As far as your website question goes, I would look at the open source systems like WordPress, Drupal & Joomla. Open source means they are community developed, supported and extended. You can use them for free. You will most likely still need the services of a web developer, but this way your investment is going into customizing rather than reinventing the wheel.

WordPress offers a free hosted version thar you can use at wordpress.com. This is a good start, but if you are serious about your site you'll want to have your own install of it that you can customize to meet your needs.

Other places to market and advertise (for free!) include Craigslist, Kijiji, Google Groups and more.
