Me & my family are off to Ireland at the end of May & would love to be able to go & see Irish singer John Hogan, but have no idea where he'd be performing & no clue where to start looking. So if anyone has any info, maybe a website or something,we'd really appreciate the help. It would be a perfect part of our holiday to the Emerald Isle!!!!!

  3. John Hogan — Something Good

County Offaly country singer John Hogan has one of the most distinctive voices in Ireland.

John unfortunately had an enforced rest from singing recently as an undetected hearing problem damaged John’s voice through strain. But John is back and this album is pure Irish Country.

There is something about a Country album recorded by an Irish singer, produced with an Irish feel, that makes the Irish Country sound so distinctive. Eamon McCann and Mick Flavin are capable of producing such a sound and so is John Hogan.

This album contains six self-penned tracks; Deep Water, Dr. Beat, My Young Dad, Lean On Me, My Very Life and Special. These are excellent tracks and stamp the title of “song writer extraordinaire” on John Hogan.

John duets skilfully with the authentic Country voice of Carmel Sheerin on Home Is Wherever You Are and I Don’t Believe You Met My Baby. While memories of the 1960s came flooding back to me with a cover version of the Herman Hermit’s big hit I’m Into Something Good.

I’ve said it before, and I don’t mind repeating something good, but John is pure Irish Country.

Once you hear John you will be hooked.
