Our family is going to Disney for vacation and I heard about the meal deals that they offer. Has anyone ever used them? If so what is the price per day?? Are they worth it? Tell me what you thought if you bought them!

  1. They have meal plans and they are soo worth it!!! I went with my mom and she figure we saved about $400 and we ate a lot! I suggest you take advantage of the meal plan. It's about $40 per day per person I think and you get a sit in meal, fast service meal, and a snack. ( If you don't use all of your snacks I suggest getting pastries for the ride home in magic kingdom at the

    Main Street Bakery)

  2. we did that when we went. it is just a deal where you get a soda the main course and a salad or a side. for the money its not bad, you get more food and your drink. its more like a combo meal than a meal deal.

  3. Try going to www.mousesavers.com. You'll find all kinds of tips and tricks to make your stay a little less expensive.

If you stay at a resort, and are a AAA member, they'll give you a card to use at most places, and you'll save a little more, than with just your AAA card.

Downtown Disney has a neat little cafeteria called The Earl of Sandwich. With the AAA card we got from the Dolphin, we saved 10% on our meals, and the food is really good. I mean REALLY good!

Have fun. I wish I was going back. Heck... I just want to go back on the Wonder and go back to the Bahamas. lol

  4. I love this plan. We have used it the last two time in Disney.

For a sit down meal with appetizer, entree, dessert and a drink it has already paid for itself. ($38.00 per day per adult) For your counter service you get the meal, dessert and a drink. For a snack I have picked up a bowl of fruit, or ice cream. There are little icons on the menu to let you know which snacks are part of the meal deal. I thought there were lots to choose from. This is more than enough food for the day and I had teenagers with me. Eating at Disney is expensive. This let me know for sure of what I'd spend in food for our budget. And I was able to pay for it before we left. Please not that all of your party must eat together for this plan. We hit the most $$ restaurants and had great meals. Check out the site below for Disney restaurants menus and prices. You will see you save money on the plan.

  5. you can get a meal deal where you get a reservation for a meal every day of your vacation for a lower price than separate reservations for your meals

  6. You are talking about the Disney Dining Plan.

The basic meal plan includes per day

    1 Table Service Meal

    1 Quick Service Meal

    1 Snack (Drink, Ice Cream...)

You can also exchange your Table Service credits for what they consider "signature" dining experience.

The cost is $37.99 per day for adults(10+) and $9.99 per day for children 3-9.  For the child dining plan the child must order off of the children's menu if available.

If you use all of the Table Service credits then it is worth it.  However, if you don't use a few Table Service or Quick Service meals you may find it cheaper to just pay as you go.

The biggest issue you have is with the Table Service Restaurants for these reservations are highly recommended.  Depending on the time of year finding a reservation at certain locations can be next to impossible unless you book early.  Booking for reservations starts 180 days(6 months) in advance.  The link below will go into more detail how the plan works.

  7. i went. i didnt pay though byt from wht i heard it was pretty cheap. its better than paying with a credit card
