  1. Find out if your skating club/circle holds used dress sales. At the one at my rink, you could get GK elite dresses (normally very pricey) for 8 or 10 dollars.

Or you could just buy some pants, like black jazz flared pants or buy under armour leggings. Those work pretty good. Or you could buy a few pairs of mondor tights and some mondor skirts for about $20 each (skirt).

Ebay also is a great resource. My mom found beautiful dresses all for $60 that were filled with rhinestones, sequins, stitching, etc. They were all from the same person. A few of her students (my mom's a coach) and I bought some of the $60 dresses and I used mine for competition and it is great quality.

  2. Practice outfit? All you need to go skating are leggings or a skirt and tights and a long sleeved shirt.

Don't waste so much money just on practice clothes.

If you want some ask some friends or your coach if they know of any cheap skating stores, look on ebay, or if your rink has a pro shop look there, or at competitions they sometimes sell outfits

  3. Have you tried asking people in your ice skating group/circle?  They may be willing to loan/trade/sell you some.

  4. well, what i do, is i just wear tights, shorts, leg warmers, and a sweat shirt to practice in. You could also use your old competition outfits (if they still fit) for practice. Be eco-safe, if it really isnt necessary, dont buy it!

    Good luck! :)

  5. eBay has very nice dresses for reasonable prices, just type in Figure Skating.

I hope this helps, good luck!!

  6. I would suggest talking to skaters at your local rink, many skaters have old dresses that they are willing to sell for a decent price. Here are a few sites you can try for a decent priced practice dress
