??? what is a composite outboard motor ???  If you are talking about composite propellers or composite outboard motor mounts or other composite parts ... they are all very happy in salt water ... they will never corrode.

There are some composite out drives,  they do not take a hard grounding well,  the jury is still out on how they will last with the torque pressures, and they grow barnacles as well as aluminum.
