  1. Some Grey's never talk.  Does he mimic any type of sounds-like a door squeak?  You could take to the breeder you got your bird from and ask if they have ever encountered this.  Hopefully he will eventually learn to say some things.

  2. I have a Grey that is 10 yrs and he says very little,  his favorite word is  "Good" when he sees food. He has a few others but makes mostly sounds, I have given up that he will every be a chatty Grey. I am home all day and talk to him. He just chooses not to.

  3. First word was "corn" at 5 months.

I hope someone can answer you better.

  4. Most Grey's start to talk at 1 to 2 years old and then there are some that never learn. Vocalizing (Talking) is an instinct. They learn to talk to the flock. This guy will learn to Vocalize with the flock. If you talk to him as if he is part of the family and keep away from whistles and other sound effects he will be fine. TAG's are very smart and learn to communicate with the flock (you).

  5. There are cd's and tapes you can leave going for your bird to learn to talk when you are not able to be with it. They are called Bird Talk. There are 4 different ones. Parrot, cockatiel, keet and canary(songs). Contact your pet store and see if you can order one. Maybe this will help.
