Does anyone have any reccomendations on a VOIP provider? Is vonage as bad as the reviews state?

I am wanting to switch to a VOIP - like vonage or lingo - to save some money - but I am sooo confused. I have read so many bad reviews online for vonage, but also good ones. I was hoping someone might have a reccomendation of a VOIP provider - or any personal experience with Vonage or Lingo.

  1. I have a web site that is good introduction to getting started using VoIP.  It's called CQ VoIP Call. (link in my profile)

I use InPhonex as my primary VoIP home phone service.

But there are many to choose from.  Everyone has a different experience with the different service providers.  So, who is best is really kind of luck of the draw.

No matter what service you get, some people will love it, and others will hate it......

  2. VOiP technology is great.  you just have to be with a good provider

i got mine  for almost a year now,  i even have the one with VIDEO,  and i sent a couple of units to Kansas and Philippines, so now my daughter can see her grandparents as easy as picking up the phone. (she is only 2, but somehow babies are into phones now a days..heheh)

anyways, it is great for me, i already cancel my land line and use this to call nationwide, puerto rico and Canada as well...UNLIMITED!

    i pay 23.99 plus tax.

if you want i can hook you up with one.  just let me know.  they also have the one without video, if you prefer.......i just bought the one with video because of my daughter, so we don't have to travel much for my family to see and talk to her.

  4. Maybe u should try out the Cordia VOIP plans at https://www.cordiaip.com/

They are running a promotion right now where u can enjoy the first month free for all Cordia VOIP plans. The promotion code is AGLEEX182X. But if u forgot to enter this code, u will not enjoy the first month free.

    Good luck.

I mah use all that money i'm saving on the phone bills this year to buy me somthing nice. try it and hope it works out for u

  6. To get the most out of ANY VoIP, you must have a good internet connection. It doesn't have to be the best but minimum requirement for good service is 768kbps/128kbps internet connection. And if it is minimum like that, then make sure when you are on the phone, you don't surf the internet. Otherwise, the bandwidth will be used up by the Internet and your phone conversation will be broken up. To answer your question, I recommend that you get Vonage. Vonage is like the monopoly of VoIP right now. Their service is outstanding. The service is reliable. I had it for more than a year already and never experienced any problems. So I recommend that you get Vonage if you are planning to get VoIP And also, the reviews that you read online about VoIP like Vonage, most of the time you will see negative reviews and it is 99% of the time not true. Very few people actually leave reviews of their service when it is working normal, but a lot who are having difficulty because of some stupid things go online to find a solution and while at it, they leave bad reviews, so don't listen to them.
