  1. Dr suess

  2. I was going to recommend 'I Heart You...' when I first saw this question. Anyway, I would say all the books by Ellen Hopkins. I haven't read them, but I know they are in verse form.

  3. "Song of the Sparrow" by Lisa Ann Sandell is really good. It is set in the time of King Arthur and Lancelot. Told from the point of view of Elaine of Ascolot. I read it last year. All verse, not poetry.

"Love That Dog" by Sharon Creech is also really good. It's a novel written in verse from the point of view of a boy who discovers poetry with the help of his teacher. It is a novel in verse, and there are poems in it too, ones the boy wrote for assignments. It's really short, and even though it's probably middle school level I really love it.

I only know of those two, and I would recommend them.

    EDIT:

Here's a site that has a list of books written in verse if you want to look at it: http://nancykeane.com/rl/471.htm

    and: http://www.wiredforyouth.com/books/index...

Oh, and "Out of the Dust" by Karen Hesse was really sad.

  4. By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and Wept- Elizabeth Smart

    It's poetic prose.
