Does anyone have any success stories with Flexeril?

Flexeril in regards to the treatment of Fibromyalgia. Just started treatment with this drug last week and I think it's starting to relax and release muscle spasms and pains associated in the joints. Stories?

Flexeril works on the brain chemistry, it can decrease pain and relieve muscle spasms felt in people with Fibromyalgia thus promoting better sleep cycles. Not all people with Fibromyalgia suffer from exactly the same symptoms, what works or does not work for some will work for others. It is important that you and your Dr work together in managing your symptoms. I use Flexeril and can tell the difference in amount of pain I have if I fail to take it. It's great that you are sensing some relief, that is something all of us who suffer from Fibromyalgia seek. Best of better health to you.

did nothign for me

FMS is a problem with tehcentral nervous system-not teh musculoskeletal system

flexeril treats teh musculoskeletal system

the muscle spasms aren't actually caused by FMS---it may be a secondary complication from not being able to be fully active..

it's great if you get relief from the complications, just realize it is doing nothing for FMS itself

what I mean is that it does not Regulate teh brain itself--which is what needs to be done to treat FMS---

it blocks inpulses from teh muscle to teh brain
