Does anyone have any suggestions for healthy fast food items?

I know fast food in general is not healthy but sometimes I don't have time to plan ahead. Any suggestions on fast food places that have healthy menu items?

  1. Whenever I am in the mood for a quick but healthy meal I always go to Subway for their Veggie Delight sub. The Veggie Delight is basically a sub with no meat on it except vegetables. Its actually really good and healthy for you. Its also the lowest calorie item on the menu =). Make sure to get it on wheat bread for the fiber and I recommend you NOT to put dressing, oil, or mayo on the sandwich as this can really rack up fat and  calories and salad dressing is pretty unhealthy for you anyways. I usually just ask for a little salt and pepper or nothing at all on mine. If you want you can always go for mustard which is very low in calories, or if you like spicy stuff you can add jalapenos (which is what I do) which makes the sandwich not taste so bland. I love the Veggie Delight :)! It is probably the healthiest fast food choice out there


  2. McDonald's- Asian Salad with Grilled Chicken (watch the dressing) or a Fruit 'n Yogurt Parfait with Granola or Premium Grilled Chicken Classic

    Subway-  6-inch Turkey and Ham Subon Honey Oat Bread

    Taco Bell- Tostada (Fresco Style) or Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco (Fresco Style)

    Arby's-  Junior Roast Beef Sandwich

    Wendy's- chilli or baked potato with low fat sour cream

  3. Get a grilled chicken burger or a veggies burger or a small salad not a big one as they usually add some unhealthy cheese or bacon to the big ones. Choose a light dressing or on your grilled chicken or veggie burger get no sauces like ketchup or mayo,etc and don't get any dipping sauces. Get water for your drink its cheaper that way also.

  5. If you have a Chik-Fil-A around, their grilled chicken salad or their grilled spicy roll-ups are relatively low in calories and low in fat.  Plus, you can order a fruit cup instead of fries.

  8. If you go to MacDonald's you should order an Chicken Sandwich and a Snack Size parfait, Drink either diet coke or from a bottle of water.

  9. Panera is probably the healthiest there is but I don't think they're considered very "fast" food. Panera food tastes amazing, I've ordered all kinds of things off their menu and never been disappointed. However we don't have a Panera since I moved down south, only Atlantic Bread Co, which seems to be trying to duplicate Panera but it's not the same at all, The one we went to was very dirty and the food wasn't as good.

    Subway is probably the next best and is faster probably. They have salads and good chicken sandwhiches.

    Most fast food places have salads and grilled chicken sandwiches now, even McDonalds.

    Wendy's has baked potatoes and chives and good chicken.

    And a lot of them are doing gimmicky things now to appeal to health conscious people like apple slices and things, but I worry about the caramel dip they serve with it, I've never known caramel to be healthy.

  10. Always order water with a side of lemon and you can add sweet-n-low to it! (taste like lemonade) You can order a side salad but NO RANCH! whatever dressing you get make it low fat or fat free! At Mcdonalds you can order the apple dippers (which are to die for with the caramal). Just stay away from FRIED things and All of the big salads that Wendys has isn't always healthy! I have come to find out that most of them have over 600 calories (you could have a whopper for that) just look at the nutritional information that is available (all fast food places have them theses days! Hope Ive helped! You can also get on all of their websites and plan a whoel list of things you CAN eat before you go anywhere! Do it from home and have it on hand whenever you visit them! Taco Bell, Wendys, Chic-Fil-A Hardees, McDonalds, Burger King, Krystals, Captian Ds, Arbys, KFC, ETC.

  11. Yes when u are about to place your order, tell them you would like a glass of water and that's it.

  12. cheapst way iz to get mcdonalds apples and dip, wendys has great yogurt too

  13. try the salads, or grilled chicken but hold the mayo, or a baked potato, and many offer fruit salads.  All most all fast food places nowadays offer these for people who want to eat healthy.
