It totally depends on where you want to stay in Barcelona. Have you already bought your plane tickets? If not then going through expedia (or something like it) to get a package deal is actually a really good idea. Also before you go you should look into getting your international drivers license. You can rent a Scooter while you are there (they aren't nearly as expensive as a car) and get the European experience. They are a lot of fun! Hope you enjoy your trip!! Barcelona is one of my favorite places to visit!

you can get a list of extremely reasonably priced hotels apartments and hostels from Barcelona tourists info office at Barcelona Sants Railway station..hostels are brilliant..like 3star hotels ..spotless..well run...polite...safe...cheap..govt set standards and tariffs.try  Hostal Parisien ,Las Ramblas, 114,pral..tel.[phone] ( Director;- Christina Roldan)..maybe get the list at Barcelona airport too...gud luk
