  1. Gross - it helps to know what kind of alcohol, because that is one component of the smell to be removed.  But you can use towels to soak up some of the liquid that has seeped into the backing and wet the area and blot it with towels some more to remove more of it.  Then I would use a carpet spotter like Resolve, which has a strong cover odor.  You can cover the odor with a similar odor like cedar - cedar has some of the same compounds in it which is why some fresh cedar mulches smell like puke.  So wood chips can be laid on the area (remember when they used wod shavings for vomit on school bus floors - same thing.) So I would use a pine furniture polish on every inch of wood in the room and Resolve on the stain itself.  Other than that you would need to rent a carpet cleaner from the local market.

  2. yea agree with the white vinegar, dos work with everything! brilliant for cleaning glass and windows to! but can smell abit to? so on carpets for a smelly stain a non bio washing powder can work great to! just put straight on to stain rub in with a bit of water with sponge, dry and hoover up!

  3. In your case I would not use vinegar. vinegar is acetic acid. Stomach bile is an acid.  You are increasing  the pH the solution.  You need to neutralize the acid. And Extract the solution off our carpet.

Take club soda and pour it onto the area.  Have a wet/dry vacuum and after about a minute. Suck up the club soda.  Repeat the process.  You need to get the solution off the backing of the carpeting.  If it soaked into the padding then you are FUBAR.   Run A fan over the area till it is dry.  It's the food that you ate along with the alcohol and bile that is causing the smell.  Until it is completely dry, you will have bacteria growth and off gassing.  I suggest you spray an anti microbial over the area after it is dry.

  5. hahaha.

the cheapest product that would most likely work would be some carpet cleaner just from your normal grocery store and lots of febreze, if that doesn't work go for a bit more difficult route and steam clean it.

  6. lol  scrub it with water n soap

  7. use this, and repeat as necessary.  Be sure to flush out well when you're done with cold water

  8. White vinegar and water..I promise you the vinegar smell will fade away along with the puke smell, then right after that sprinkle baking soda on it. Let dry then vacuum up. This combo works for just about everything.
