I know I won't get what I paid for it but I would atleast like 50%. I've tried ebay and craigslist. Not much luck.

  1. Sometimes you can go to a consignment store

  2. Keep it! If it's worth anything now it will be worth more years later. ""Real""  jewlery increases in value unlike a car, clothes or appliances

  3. Even getting 50% will be high. Most jewelry stores charge double what a store in a jewelry mart will sell it at and they are probably making 100%.

Try 25% of retail or 50% of a jewelry mart price. I would only sell through Craigs List with cash in person.

  4. Take it to a jewellers or try eBay again.

  5. you could have it appraised for insurance and then sell it based on the appraised value at a reputable jeweller. Or, if you have a good stone, have the ring separated from the stone and sell the stone.

  6. Try local pennysaver- may get better responses after holidays though, no one wants to spend money now.  If you're really desperate to sell it, then your local pawn shop would be the answer.

  7. go to a jewelry store and ask them what it's worth. go to 3-4 stores (not just one) and average out what they all tell you. go back to the highest one and see if they will buy it from you. if not, they should be able to advise you on who would buy it.

if you just want to get rid of it .. they you can always take it to a pawn shop.

  8. Consignment Shop...

or some jewelers buy them back.

or depending the ring you could take it to a jeweler and make a different piece out of it.

maybe a pair of earrings for mom/sister etc

  9. try your local pawn shop and try to advertise it in the local paper under misc...

  10. Why don't you just save it for the next person.

  11. Never sell to pawn shops, they will give you 15-20% tops and sell it for  125-150% of what they gave you.

  12. i had my diamond reset into a ring for me...rather than take the loss

  13. Get it made into something else!

  14. The ring in my honest opinion does not make the value. It is the diamonds that do. Get them appraised or get reports from a serious gemological lab. Then, offer them on ebay or to a diamond dealer. If the ring consists of many small diamonds, leave them in ! If the ring is from a famous jeweller like Cartier, ..., then you could obtain a good price.

If the stone is over 5 cts, with good clarity, color and cut, sell it to me :-)

  15. Sotheby's auctions

  16. pawn shops
