Does anyone have any theories on the black spots in chicago?

"i saw black tar-like gunk hit the ground as I was pondering why Chicago has so many black spots on it's sidewalk. there were no trains around, no fresh paint anywhere and no one spitting out black gum.. i'm thinking that the spots could be a combination of gum and oil from all the airplanes flying over chicago.. any thoughts on the plane theory?"

  1. Without seeing pictures or knowing a location a little more specific than "Chicago," it's going to be difficult to answer your question.


  2. That is a good question. I have never heard of this happening.

    You actually saw this fall from..well..the sky and hit the ground??

    It will be interesting to see the answers...I don't have one for you...It's not the airplanes though....There are many other busy airports around the USA  and I have not ever seen or heard of this...
