I have been trying to grow my nails for ages now and they get to a stage where all they do is break and flake and its really annoying....its only happened since i was put on this medication.

I really want to try false nails, i wanna try it at home first as i am going to a music festival and don't want to pay out loads of money for them to get ruined. Does anyone have any tips on how to make them stay on and they best kind to buy etc.

I would really appreciated your help

xx

  1. not the home kits- go to a nail salon - for acrylic tips (between £20-£30)

they last me about 4 weeks

  2. I buy mine from the store.

They come in a little small box, and they are different sizes.

You see what ones will fit each nail.

and it comes with nail glue.

So you just put the glue on the nail and your real nail and stick it on.

It lasts a pretty long time.

I love them, and that are WAY cheaper  than getting them done!

  3. make sure your nails are completely clean first and dry so the glue sticks better, and go for the shortest ones you can find because its hard to adjust to suddenly having super long nails and you'll find they get in the way for a little while. Also make sure you soak them off in warm water and gently lift them off as opposed to picking them off as this will help prevent further damage to your nails.

When you're not wearing false nails try and put a layer of clear nail polish over your natural nails to help strengthen them, or use a nail polish specifically designed to help them strengthen. I think Sally Hansen do one.

Have fun at your festival !

  4. Well i got my nails done for my birthday which was ont he 4th of july and they stayed on infact i had to use that acetone stuff to get them off, i never want to get them again bcus they took so long to *** off haha!

i done absolutley everything with them bt my nails had grown a lot underneith so they needed to come off, these were u no the UV GEL ones that you get done in shops?

they are 100% unbreakable believe me haha!

false nails as in the ones that you stick on in the other hand arent so reliant, they will *** off with out you noticing.

    hope that helps :)

  5. Okay well first of all, false nails (from the manicure shop often around 20.00)  ruin your real nails so much! You get so addicted to putting them on every 3 weeks or so, that you always put them on and cannot stop; meaning your real nails underneath the fake ones cannot breathe, and may turn a yellow colour over time. Each time you go for a new set, because they do not take the nail of completely they sharpen it down on top which means the real nail dissolves slowly. Once you finally have enough of them or decide to take them off for a while your nails will be so fragile that they will just break and you will probably be in a lot of pain and even see your skin through half way down of your nail. It is disgusting and very unhealthy for your nails. Trust me, they WILL make your nails even worse off than they are now. Even though yes false nails are pretty and "strong"  they are unhealthy and just hassle and a waste of time.

  6. just buy false nails. its nice and affordable... u should try it... ^^, it would really look cute... ^^,

  7. well fake nails for me did not work... in fact they made a line go in my nails and it took a very long time for me to grow my nails out to where you couldn't see the line. I don't like fake nails, all they do is take money. Now i just keep Sally Hansen Diamond strength clear polish on my nails and it actually makes my nails very hard and I like them, but I wouldn't normally recommend fake nails for someone else.

but if you want fake nails you should go get them professionally done.
