  1. If you're going into jr. high and already have 4 years experience, you're probably already ahead of most. Volleyball at this level is all about development. So just be open minded about what your coaches say, and keep learning. If you're learning something new, or changing something in your game, don't get frustrated if you get a little worse at first. It's like cleaning a bedroom, sometimes you have to make it messier in order to get it clean!

    Good Luck!

  2. if u been playing for four years than should have nothing to worry about

    good luck

  3. all of the people are giving good advice above

but you should mainly talk to the coach and make yourself standout from the crowd at tryouts

maybe wear a bright colored t-shirt and get noticed somehow

introducing yourself to everyone would be your best bet

    communication is key

  4. Sense your going into jr.high and you've been playing for 4 years, you have all the basics down but in a real game,if the balls coming right to you,you can hold it to you chest and set it back in the game.I did it in a indoor game and an outdoor game in real life. When you think your to far away from the ball, just run and dive or just try to get a hand on it and maybe you can still play.

i did that in a game before. When you set,you want to keep your wrists loose and everything else tight .You want  to keep a triangle made by your hands right above your forehead just in case it comes back to you and it bumps you in the forehead. That happend to me when i first started.Bend your knees when ever you bump, pass,or set. When you under hand serve, you should keep your hand in like a taco and your hand that has the ball should be high enough for you to hit over the net. When you over hand serve, hit it with your palm not your finger tips or you will break your fingers.Do two steps when you spike and if you want to practice, practice with a friend or the wall. One other thing about underhand serving, keep your hand all the way back and then swing with all the power and that will get it over the net for sure. And one more thing about bumping or passing, lean forward and then step or it will go straight backwards.I like your name or pertend name, and i like you and i hope you meet a lot new friends at jr.high.GOODLUCK!

  5. Well I have played volleyball for 5 years and well having a good attitude on the court always help. To improve your game always during practice, workouts and games show you are the best and try your best.  Never yell at another teamate for their mistakes its better to say its ok do better next time.

    GOOD LUCK!!

  7. just be confident in yourself. it sounds like you are ready anyways. brush up a bit on basic skills, but for jr high volleyball, you shouldn't really have to be a pro at it to make the team. good luck!

  8. well this is my 2nd year playing, and im already on varsity ill be a junior, just make sure you give it your all, always try new things even if they dont work. be a team player always cheer on your teammates for example if you guys are hitting give a highfive to people who walk by you, it helps your self esteem. just give it your all and good luck you should make it
