Does anyone have any tips on playing sax at church behind the choir? ?

I've actually been playing sax for several years, but am just starting to get serious about it. I typically use the major pentatonic scale to do my runs and it works out great, but now I'm looking to expand my vocabulary. I am relatively fluent in all my major scales and of course all the major pentatonics but now I'm looking to really get to the next level.

Don't play too loud, unless someone out front says you should. The Sax has a strong tone and it might be annoying to try and sing with a sax blazing away in your ear.
