  1. All you need to do is play your best and have fun doing it! the coaches are looking for hardworking players who will deliver consistently.  Make sure you are coachable and a good listener.  Do what they tell you and dont gripe about doing things you dont want to do.  Most of all do not doubt yourself because as soon as you dont think you can do something you wont be able to do it.  So take a deep breath, put on your lucky undies and do your best! Good Luck!

  2. Get alot of sleep so you are well rested.

Make sure you eat a healthy snack before tryouts but nothing that will give you a stomach ache.

What I did the first time that I tried out for volleyball at my school was i got a friend to try out with me. So then there is always someone 2 be your partner. You might not want to get someone that has no athletic skills but, if you really want to make the team dont choose a friend that is really good at volleyball.

And just try your best. Volleyball was the first sport i tried out for. I wanted to be on the team but i wasnt going to try out because i never played before and i thought i wouldnt make it. I was actually really "the friend". A group of my friends were trying out and they wanted me to too. And we all made it. So just try your best. And have fun. Don't flirt with the coach, or seem clingy. Dont act like a show off.

And tell yourself it's not the end of the world if you dont make the team, because its not. There is always the next year.

    HAVE FUNN!!

    good luck =D

  3. Laughing.

I play club volleyball and I'm on a team with a lot of girls I've known for a long time. Through the years I've bonded with them and their now my closest friends. Just laughing with them before the game really puts my mind at ease. Whenever I'm out on the court I feel pressure at first, but then it's just like I'm playing a game with my best friends. Even if I miss, I know there will always be a butt slap or high five.

    They key is having fun.

  4. JUST PRETEND THAT YOU WITH YOUR FRIENDS SCRIMAGING AND THR IS NO COACH AROUND U IF YOU THINK LIKE THT 4 THE TRY OUTS YOU WILL DO GREAT

  5. Firsts try getting a good nights sleep before hand and that day you can try a sauna which can really calm and relax you; but also try laughing it makes you feel A LOT better. :)

  6. Do your best.  Work hard.  Leave everything you got and then be confident that at least you did your best and that you should be proud of what you have accomplished.

  7. First, don't keep your mind focused on the tryouts.it will help ease your calm during the drills your coach gives you.Second, always pay attention and don't talk at all unless giving a comment or question by the coach(es) or the guide. And make sure you're observant if you're sitting down and watching other players play. And when you're playing,if it goes over the net you say "over" if it goes in the middle you say "middle" or the person's name if it goes out say "out" and if it hits the net say "short".It would also help if you're good at serving the ball overhand, cause coaches think it's the "profesional" way of serving. You may not get any of those the first time around, but after you've been playing for awhile it comes to you naturally.Third, eat a good meal before tryouts.Don't overstuff yourself though or don't eat at all, usually a granola bar or a pb & j sandwich or a fruit will help you.Last, have fun,be dedicated on what you do and try your best.Don't be dissapointed, sad or mad at yourself for not making it.Ask your coach(es) or guide what you can improve on for next year.Usually some schools over the summer have volleyball "open gyms" for new commers or people who wants to get better. Also,if you can get volleyball pads before you go.For our tryouts it shows that you're dedicated.Good luck, and like what I said "Be dedicated on what you do".

  8. Go out there and play like you can, without checking to see who's watching. Also, be well rested and eat well, so you are at the top of your game (literally) and are not dealing with a sore stomach, and such. Try to stay calm ( I know its easier said than done), but try to stay relaxed. Be positive and shine!

  9. breath you're fine what's the worst that could happen? don't get nervous and don't let the coach see you're nervous, it cost me the team i wanted to make. have fun call the ball even if you're not pretend to be confident

  10. I GET THE SAME WAY. lol . This is what i do. I try to relax and play music before the tryouts begin. This gets you pumped up and in a jam. Also try not to think about it. And don't count how many girls there are!
