Does anyone have any tips or tricks to add power and distance to tee shots

i can hit anywhere from 190 to 220 on a well struck tee shot but i would like to improve to between 220 to 250

slow your swing, a controlled squarely hit ball goes farther and straighter than a mighty muscle hook, draw, duff or slice...

* Just for fun...  in a typical 18 par 72 there may and I say may be there are 1 or 2 par 5's and 5 or 6 par 4's.  Most par 4's are 350 to 400 yards MAX.... If you hit two safe 180's with a 4 iron or better a hybrid - that is still 360 yards and a nice gentle pitch. You have the choice to work on your putts or bogey and clean up on the next 3 par hole.   If you pound a 220 and another 220 that makes 440 and the chance that you spray it like trying to kill something with a double odd buck - try a .223 (nice and easy)...

Well accuracy counts more in golf than distance so as long as your accurate I would just lift and the yards will come, but if you want to add more now drop your back foot a little back and swing faster some hip explosion would help too

both answers are good but no matter how far you hit it you will always want more distance. I"ve always been  short hitter which makes me work harder on other parts of my game. It feels good to beat a long hitter (not that hard to do: I"m talking the world of weekend golf) and remember: ther is always someone out there who wishes they could hit it as far as you.

The most important thing in golf is acceleration!  The fastest part of your swing should be after you hit the ball, once you can learn that it is not about swinging hard and just swinging through the ball you will add distance to your shots.  One good way to know that you accelarating through the shot is to hold your follow through till the ball hits the ground.  It's almost impossible to hit a bad shot if you hold your follow through.  Give it a shot! It might help.
