  1. i dont get hit in the face it could make you look like you dont know how to play and take short shorts to practice if the coach is a guy if you know what i mean im in 8th grade that what the girls do at my school

  2. Whatever you do dont be afraid of the ball!!! It bugs the heck out of me when girls on my team scream when its a hard serve. And try to hustle on and off the court (it might impress the coach.) But most of all, dont stress about it! Have some fun! And if you make a mistake shake it off and do better next time!

    Good Luck, chica!

  3. keep your eye on the ball, always be pumped to play, have a steady and powerful hand, bump using your leg power and not pushing your arms up, and dont be afraid of getting hurt by the ball.

  4. Yes! Definetly! I am on my highschool volleyball team so you can totally trust me!

    1. Start from the beginning of your season to do overhand serves\

*Yes they may not go over, but to get on a high school volleyball team you need to be able to do an overhand serve. Starting now will buyild up your muscle so by the time you get to highschool your serve will be very very powerful!

    2. While passing make it a hbit to not swing your arms.

    3. While hitting start now to get your approach you know the (left- right- left jump) approach this will increase your hit's power.

And that is just about it!

  5. well i suggest knowing all the ways to hit the volley ball so learn that practice surving and spicking hurry quick

  6. always be on your toes

  7. Coaches notice kids who are vocal (call for the ball "mine"), move with every contact so you are always ready to play the next ball, and are eager participants. If the coach says, "Make a line behind the court"...then sprint over there.

If you have to shag balls (retrieve errant balls) during a drill, than scamper around, pick them up, and put them in the ball cart. Hustle is contagious and go all out. Be intense and be the big "F" word....focused.

When you pass the ball, remember to let the ball rebound off your forearms and transfer you weight from your back foot to your front foot. Don't swing your arms...maintain your platform angle and let your legs do the work.

Use your overhead pass as much as you can (feet under the ball, ball shaped hands above your hairline, use your fingerprints on contact, and push up with your palms toward the ceiling).

Movement is key. If you can call the ball (mine) and get your feet stopped before you contact the ball, half the battle is won.

Be positive and support your teammates. Good luck..let us know how you do!

  8. Do not be afraid of the ball. Always be ready by bending down and on your toes. umm when the ball goes over your head, move back and try to bump the ball high for your setter. =] and always keep your eye on the ball.
