  1. ----> yeah some persons unable to digest success of IPL

---->IPL is a big success in India

hope it continues for long despite jelousyness

  2. c**p

  3. Yes, it was a grand success and treat for cricket fans.  irrespective of their country everyone got involved in thier team as regular members.   People may like to watch more such matches

  4. nothing to say

  5. ipl was very entertaining but is a threat to test cricket

  6. No, I never watched any of it. I wil continue watching test & ODIs unless Australia gets their own league together.

  7. I was always confident that it would be popular, but I have been particularly encouraged by the electric carnival-like atmosphere in the stadiums. What’s more, the local crowds have been getting right behind their local teams. That was always going to be crucial.

Even more impressive has been the quality of the cricket. India’s love of a spectacle and all things Bollywood was always going to add colour and entertainment. But without quality cricket the IPL would quickly lose its appeal. Fortunately, the cricket’s been thrilling.

There have been close finishes, brilliant run chases and a mountain of sixes. Some of the batting has been awesome. I am not surprised that Lalit Modi, the IPL’s chief commissioner, has been hopping from game to game with a wide grin. The cricket could not have been better.

From a player’s perspective, it has been a new and exciting challenge. The franchisees have created a family-like atmosphere and the team management, led by Tom Moody, is the best in the business.

  8. Well, I answered this the other day with:

    An amusing anecdote.

But in reality a boon for “has been’s”, ‘coulda been’s” and “wanna be's”.

I did find some parts amusing and even at times entertaining but I likened it to feeding time at the zoo. Or show time for puppets...

I think I will just leave it there...

  9. Good concept, though hastily thrown together this time, resulting in too many second rate Indian players being involved.

Secondly, the thing that put most people off was the third rate commentries. If you are going to have an English commentry, then you need to get English speaking people. Heavy Asian accents do not do it for me.

  10. no but id be surprised if the Celtics DIDNT win the championship

  11. I was fun Mon, only trouble... we got to see it in da morning in Barbados

  12. Yes i have 3 things to say...

    THANK god it is over

Congratulations to Shane Warne and his team..

Congratualtions to Shane Watson on Man Of The Series....

  13. It was a GREAT success in INDIA. It was meant to entertain people and its a job well done.

  14. IPL was a huge success.  Agreed there was much more glitz and glamour involved than you'd see in many cricket tournaments, but nevertheless, it was super entertaining for cricket fans.

I think the T20 format has attracted many more people to the game.  Before, it was the hard core cricket fans that would sit through 5 days of a test match or 9 hours of a one-dayer, but now, people who have never watched it before can take out 3-4 hours to understand and enjoy the game.

The thing I loved was that players from different countries got to play together.  It wasn't Pakistan against India or Australia, it was the best of everywhere. There have always been rivalries between nations but the IPL was a chance to put away your patriotism and appreciate the game, for player and fans.

  15. It was fabulous

  16. I don't think that IPL is so much successful it's only HYPE created by media,

20-20 cricket is not best format cricket it only like by people who don't like quality cricket, i think that still today and in future ODI's are best form of cricket then comes test matches which are also better than 20-20

  17. it was good and exciting but now its finished and i grad because it was getting a bit much
