Perhaps you don't get local network channels on your satellite?

Call your local Dish customer service rep and get accurate info for where you live. Or go to the Dish web site and get a complete guide. Or use the Dish channel guide on your TV.

Depending on your location and your proximity to local tv stations, you have to pay $5 for local channels, or if you are in a rural area, you can get national feeds for network affiliates from NYC or LA
