Does anyone have experience with the navy rating "sh", how much sea\shore duty, type of ships, advancements.?

and what about "A" school, just wondering could I change ratings once I get in, I hope to change it to cti rating

  1. SH stands for supply handler and the a school would be in Mississippi and takes 29 days    I dont know how the advancement is but for new people making e4 is typically easy far as s to shore i dont know ull prob go to a ship if ur new  good news u can go to any ship that has supplies(thats all of them) and anywhere in the world unles u are coming in on waivers then u can only be stationed on us soil  i have no idea about changing your rating best advice is to ask people

      


  2. Chances of changes from a Ships serviceman to crypto linguist are going to be slim. If you qualify for it now select it now. SH is basically housekeeping, laundry,  barber, ships store etc. BIG difference in requirements and clearances.

  3. Sh's go to sea alot. Their advancement sucks. Pick another rate bro. You will be better off
