Does anyone have good ideas for using the AR program in a middle school classroom?

you read a book and then take a test on it and you get scored on how well you do and you earn points. After the test it gets printed out and on it will be an average of all the tests you've done and reading level and points  you've earned.

Set a point goal based on 30 minutes of reading each day and the ZPD of each individual student; there are charts within the AR program that will show you what these goals should be.  Then, offer up a party for each student that reaches his or her goal for that marking period.  Your PTO, SAC, business partners, or school support group should be able to donate some pizza or ice cream for you.

This has been very effective for my team.
