Does anyone have info on Ran Pego? He was related to George Pego?

Any info on Ran Pego and who are his relatives?

They're both Chippewas and one was from Sheridan in Newaygo Co and the other from the reservation in Isabella Co. So they're within an hour or so of each other. But there's a gap in time that keeps us from linking them. Ran was born in 1806 and died in 1880. George wasn't born until abot 1913. I know that George was a member of the Saginaw band of the tribe, but I can't tell which band Ran was registered with. It could be from Little Traverse or Saginaw. Ostensibly, it could even be Pinconning or even the UP. I'd suggest you start with a call to tribal office in Mt. Pleasant and see if they can help you. There was never a special roll of the Chippewa or Potawatomi tribes, so there's not a special point of reference outside the records that the tribe keeps. But I guarantee the tribes records are in pristine order.
