My son is flying for the first time and I want things to go as smooth as possible. He is only bringing a carry on and laptop. I cant find measurements for carry on bags. Is there pictures to compare to what luggage your bringing? Thanks for any help.

  1. As many people have pointed out, it depends on the airline as to the size.  Go to the baggage tap on the airline's web page.

One thing I wanted to mention is that laptops cannot be placed in checked luggage anymore.  You will have to carry them on board.  If you are thinking about putting everything in one suitcase, especially one of those rolling "carry on" suitcase, make sure the computer can be taken out.  It should have its own protective case just in case the bag is "gate checked."

  2. It depends on the airline, but the general rule of thumb is 45 linear inches (height plus width plus depth).

  3. Baggage must fit inside a box with the dimensions of 9 x 14x 23"  A bag that is 8x15x20 will not fit.

    Dan

  4. You can find that info on the Airlines website. They will provide dimension and weight limits.

  5. ALL AIRLINES HAVE A SECTION ABOUT LUGGAGE ON THEIR WEBSITES, IT STATES CHECK-IN LUGGAGE WEIGHTS AND SIZES, ALSO CARRY ON OR HAND LUGGAGE SIZE AND MAX WEIGHTS
