Kings and noblemen wore their tunics down to the ground for parties and ceremonies, and they also wore tights under their tunics. Knitting had not yet been invented, so they had to wear woven tights which did not fit very tightly. Outside, if it was cold, men wore wool cloaks.

    On their feet, Kings and noblemen wore leather shoes, which not many could afford. Brighter colors, better materials, and a longer jacket length were usually signs of greater wealth. Towards the end of the Middle Ages, men of the wealthy classes sported hose and a jacket, often with pleating or skirting, or a tunic with a surcoat Often, kings and queens would wear crowns and brightly colored silks.

  3. Medieval kings often wore robes or very baggy pants. They would also wear a shirt often with the kingdom's crest on it. Some might wear capes. Leather shoes were often pointed at the ends. Jewelry and crowns would often be worn too.
